Do you set big goals, make big plans and envision big outcomes?
Do you achieve, realize and manifest them?
Why not?
I think part of the reason you’re not achieving your big goals is you’re not celebrating your small wins along the way. The more likely you are to only acknowledge your major accomplishments the less likely you are to have them.
Do you consider yourself ‘action-oriented?’ Do you think you’re only living life to its fullest when you’re in action, moving toward your goals, doing all the things so that you can make it to the place you want to be?
Do you think that place will be better than this one? Will you always feel happy when you’re married? Will your life be perfect when you wear a size 6?
That’s not being action-oriented, that’s being result-oriented, and it’s poisonous to your happiness because just like with the sign in a bar that says, “Free Beer Tomorrow” when it comes to happiness, tomorrow never comes.
You can only be happy in the present. And if you don’t know how to celebrate the little wins, if you don’t value triumph in the small battles, you’ll never realize when you’ve won the war; you’ll keep thinking it’s gonna come tomorrow.
“Make it a priority to enjoy the process so the process is the reward.
This quote from Clotilde Dusoulier sums up perfectly the shift that has taken place in my thinking that enables me to say in all honesty that I am happy every day, and my happiness is not dependent on whether or not I’ve achieved a desired result.
Are you happy every day?
If not, would you like to be?
What if I told you it’s in your power, and it has nothing to do with whether or not you’re single, married, a size 6 or a CEO?
It has everything to do with how and what you think about yourself, your accomplishments, your abilities and your potential.
Your results come from your thoughts.
